The awards, run by CommsDay, were held at a gala event in Sydney on Tuesday (3rd May), where Aussie Broadband was up against TPG and Optus in the Best Fixed Broadband category.

The Edison Awards are one of the highest accolades a company can receive in the telco industry. They are judged by a panel of Australian and global telecommunication experts.

Aussie Broadband was recognised for its network performance, customer service innovations and industry impact.

“Judges remarked how impressed they were at the way in which Aussie Broadband has created a distinct identity and value proposition for customers and how that has translated directly into increased market share and presence,” said CommsDay publisher Grahame Lynch.

Managing Director Phillip Britt paid tribute to the Aussie Broadband team.

“We’re absolutely thrilled and honoured to win this CommsDay Edison Award 2022 for Best Broadband Provider. Many thanks to CommsDay, the judging panel and everyone else who made these awards possible.”

“This is the fifth time we’ve entered the Edisons in this category, and the fifth time we’ve been a finalist.”

“Aussie Broadband’s success would not have been possible without our awesome staff, who continue to change the telco game every single day. I’m so incredibly proud of you all,” said Phil.

The company was also recently named as a finalist in the 2022 iTnews Benchmark Awards in the Best Consumer Project category. Aussie Broadband was nominated for its Fault Detector project, which identifies and resolves faults before a customer is even aware that there’s an issue.
