Human Resources Director 5-star Employer of Choice 2022 Award

Aussie Broadband has been named one of the top employers in Australia by Human Resources Director (HRD) Magazine.

After initially being shortlisted as one of 35 commended HRD Employer of Choice companies in 2022, the company has been advised that it is one of only thirteen 5-Star Employers of Choice. On top of this, Aussie is also one of only four 5-Star Employers in its size category (500+ employees).

“At Aussie Broadband we enable our staff to be part of an unconventional and distinctive workplace where we develop together, as looking after our people enables us to continue the excellent customer service that we’re known for. To have HRD recognise that support and name us as a 5-Star Employer of Choice is a real honour, and testament to the unique culture Aussie has built,” said Aussie’s General Manager People and Culture, Fi Blackmore.

“While we’re growing quickly, we’re also authentic, friendly and a workplace where all of our people feel they belong — characteristics we work hard to maintain.”

Entries were scored on achievements and initiatives across a range of areas including leadership, learning and development, wellbeing, flexibility, inclusion and diversity, work-life balance and recruitment.

The review board considered both qualitative and quantitative data such as engagement survey results, average employee tenure, and turnover rate.

“The past year has been both challenging and transformative for employers across Australia, with HR leaders being relied on more than ever to help steer organisational purpose. This year’s winners of our Employer of Choice have all gone above and beyond when it comes to supporting their people, driving innovation, and committing to meaningful change,” said HRD Managing Editor, Emily Douglas.

“With rising rates of staff satisfaction and monthly turnover checking, Aussie Broadband cemented its place on our prestigious list this year. It’s great to see an organisation in this industry put such a high onus on employee engagement and morale.”

Aussie Broadband’s 5-Star Employer of Choice interactive profile can be found on the HRD website.
