Aussie Broadband customers have officially raised $500,000 for Small Change Big Change since partnering with the Telco Together Foundation.

The program, which offers customers the option to donate $1 on their bill every month, sees all donations raised go towards directly helping three key charity partners. These include Beacon Foundation who deliver programs that help youths eliminate socio-economic barriers to education and career opportunities; Reach Out who provide anonymous and confidential support to young people; and Red Dust who deliver health, wellbeing, and reconciliation programs to effect change in indigenous youth and families.

“Reaching $500,000 in donations for our Small Change Big Change program is an incredible milestone, and I’d like to extend a massive thank you to our customers who have made this possible,” said Aussie Broadband Chief Financial Officer Brian Maher. “Being good to people is one of our key values and is what we’re all about here at Aussie, so to see our customers getting involved in this initiative really speaks to that value.”

“In just four years Aussie Broadband through the generosity of their customers has reached an incredible milestone: $500,000 donated to Small Change Big Change. Thank you Aussie Broadband and your amazing customers for your continued support,” said Telco Together Foundation General Manager Warren Sainsbury.

“These ongoing donations have made a huge difference in the lives of so many young people through our mission of building resilience. I look forward to our next milestone together.”

The aim of Small Change Big Change is to build resilient, young Australians by providing education and mental health outcomes. On average there are 12,874 regular Aussie Broadband customers who donate to the program every month.

“Having first partnered with Small Change Big Change in 2019, it’s incredible to have reached the $500,000 mark in that time,” said Aussie Broadband Community Impact Manager Cameron Foley. “It's amazing that through the simple act of adding a small $1 donation to their bill our customers’ generosity and good-will has directly impacted over 50,000 lives.”

“We hope to see those numbers continue to grow, with every contribution going towards a truly life-changing initiative and to creating a positive impact in someone’s life.”
