Aussie Broadband has today announced the appointment of Brian Maher as its new Chief Financial Officer.

The announcement comes ahead of the company’s preparation for listing on the ASX next year.

Brian has almost 30 years’ market experience across a range of industries including health insurance, general insurance, industrial services, logistics and mining services.

Managing Director Phil Britt said that Brian’s appointment will bring strategic, financial and management competencies to Aussie Broadband.

“Brian is a great addition to our leadership team. He has a strong financial background, with extensive exposure to all business types including ASX, private equity, private company, professional services, high growth start-ups and not-for-profit,” Phil said.

“This appointment is crucial at a time of rapid growth and ahead of our IPO listing.”

Prior to joining Aussie Broadband, Brian was Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary at Local Agent Finder (Australia’s largest online real estate agent comparison service).

“I’m thrilled to be joining a fast growing, game changing business in telecommunications. It’s an exciting time for Aussie Broadband, and I’m looking forward to playing a role in the company’s future development,” he said.

Brian is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Secretary and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.
