Aussie Broadband announces national ramp-up

Media Release | Tuesday 8 Nov 2016 | 1 min read

Internet service provider Aussie Broadband has announced a deal that will see it offering direct service to customers across Australia.

Managing Director, Phil Britt, said that Aussie currently offers direct service to customers in regional Victoria, South Australia and the Northern Territory, and service to other customers throughout Australia via a third party.

He said last week’s deal will now allow Aussie Broadband to provide the same level of “on net” service to customers no matter where they are located.

“This deal will allow us to build full control over bandwidth through all 121 of the nbn’s interconnect centres across Australia,” he said. “It also enables us to help all customers directly with installations and faults, rather than relying on a third party.

“Our current direct customers give great feedback about our products and service, and we want to be able to offer that right across the country.”

Phil said that while Aussie is a rapidly growing telco, it still has its heart in regional Australia which brings some unique qualities to the company and the service it provides.

“One of the things our customers love the most is that we have 100% Australian-based staff, who like to go the extra mile to help people,” he said.

“We also pride ourselves on having a solid network, reasonable prices and unique products.”

The direct service roll-out across Australia is expected to be complete in March 2017.
