A photo on a transparent background of the NetComm NF18 CloudMesh Gateway Modem RouterThe NetComm NF18MESH is a WiFi router and modem with NBN (VDSL2) compatibility.

Your Aussie Broadband NF18MESH should come fully configured with no need to take additional steps. If you got your device from a different retailer, or if the device has been reset to factory settings, you will need to follow these steps to get connected to your internet service.

Opening the settings for your NF18MESH

The following steps are for connecting your router’s cables and accessing the settings, which you’ll need to do before following the rest of this guide.

  1. To get started, connect your router to power and turn it on. Ensure that the device is also connected to your NBN device or wall point.

    • If you’re on Fibre to the Node (FTTN), this should look like a cable that’s connected to the ‘DSL’ plug on the NF18MESH and leads to a point on the wall. Click here to see a diagram of what this looks like.

    • If you’re on Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), Fixed Wireless, Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) or Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC), this should look like a cable that’s connected to the ‘WAN’ plug on the NF18MESH and leads to the network plug on your NBN box. You can click one of the links above underlining your connection type to see a diagram of what this looks like.

  2. On a computer, tablet, or mobile phone, find your WiFi network and connect to it. Typically, the WiFi name and password can be found on the back of your NF18MESH.

  3. Once you’re hooked up to the WiFi network, open a web browser and go to http://cloudmesh.net to access the settings for your device. If the above address doesn’t work, try typing 192.168.20.1 in the address bar instead.

  4. You should now see a page that says “LOGIN TO YOUR DEVICE” that asks for a username and password. These details can be found on the back of your NF18MESH next to the WiFi password.

    • If these details don’t work, or if the device has been factory reset, the username and password is typically admin by default.

We recommend following the steps below under 'Connecting you NF18MESH using the Setup Wizard'. If this doesn't work, try the steps below for using Advanced Settings.
